Welcome to Spot & Pickle!

Hello, I’m Claire. Creativity and print have pretty much always been part of my working life.

I studied Art & Design at college and went straight into the print industry, initially working with books and magazines before moving into garment printing and signwriting. So long before Spot & Pickle existed, I was already designing, printing, creating and learning how to turn ideas into finished products.

Then, around 2017, Spot & Pickle began.

It started with doodles, ideas and me dipping my toe into creating something of my own. I worked from the sofa at first, building things slowly and figuring out exactly what I wanted S&P to become.

When we bought our Stoney Stanton home in 2019, I claimed a tiny room as my office. It quickly became packed with stock, equipment and orders, and whenever anything remotely large came in, the rest of downstairs became part of Spot & Pickle too!

Over the years I’ve tested hundreds of products, invested in better equipment, expanded what I can offer and built an amazing customer base, all while allowing the business to grow naturally in the direction that felt right.

And eventually, I outgrew the little room completely.

Then came The Studio.

Now based in Sapcote, Leicestershire, The Studio is my purpose built creative space. Somewhere I can design, print, make, experiment and bring all of those wonderfully random “Claire, can you do…?” messages to life.

And that really is the best way to describe what I do.

Can I sum Spot & Pickle up in one neat little tagline? Probably not.

No two days are the same. One day I could be creating branded clothing and workwear for a business, the next designing a logo, printing mugs, making personalised gifts, creating promotional products or working out how to produce something completely bespoke.

I work with individuals, families, clubs, charities and businesses, offering design, custom printing, garment printing, workwear, personalised products, sublimation, DTF and UV DTF printing, alongside plenty of one off and unusual requests.

So if you’ve got an idea, even if you’re not entirely sure what you need yet, send it my way.

There’s a reason I became the Queen of “can you do’s?”

Welcome to Spot & Pickle, The Studio.

Garments

Garment printing is the process of applying designs, graphics, or patterns to fabric or clothing items. This process has become a popular method for customising apparel, creating branded merchandise, and producing unique fashion pieces. There are several different techniques for garment printing, each with its own advantages and suitable applications. I can advise which process would be better suited for your design ideas.

Gifts

Personalised gifts are custom-made or uniquely designed items that carry a personal touch, making them special and meaningful for the recipient. These gifts stand out because they reflect the recipient’s personality, preferences, or significant life events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or holidays. Personalised gifts are perfect for showing thoughtfulness and consideration, and they can turn an ordinary item into something truly memorable.

Artwork

Hand-drawn digital designs combine the charm and creativity of traditional hand-drawing with the flexibility and benefits of digital tools.
